Did you know Georgia historically ranks in the Top 10 states in the nation for the highest number of vehicle-train collisions? Thousands of crossings, both public and private, intersect our highways throughout the state.  This makes car-truck-train interaction a very common occurrence each day.

Join us for our monthly meeting at the Green Manor and meet Ms. Jennie Glasgow, State Coordinator for Operation Lifesaver in Georgia.  Ms. Glasgow began Georgia Operation Lifesaver in 1974 and is nationally recognized for her commitment to highway and rail safety.  She will be joined by John and Ann Cross, longtime Operation Lifesaver representatives, and explain the mission of this nonprofit rail safety program.  Over the years, GAOL has led truck/train safety initiatives, developed driver training materials and videos and, more recently, created the “Online Challenge” that can help your drivers avoid deadly collisions with trains. Join us to find out more about this safety training organization and how to obtain railroad safety presentations for your drivers.
