Truck Driving Championships

The GMTA Safety & Security Council invites you to join us for the 2012 Georgia Truck Driving Championships being held at the Lake Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge & Conference Center, Lake Lanier Islands, Georgia May 10th - 12th, 2012.

We begin on Thursday the 10th with a fishing tournament and continue on Friday and Saturday with world-class professional drivers competing in eight classes. Details Here.

All participants are graded on their ability to assess safety defects in a pre-trip inspection, test their knowledge of the regulations in a thorough written exam, and apply their driving skills to a course guaranteed to challenge the best drivers.In addition to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards, we recognize our Rookie of the Year, the Best Pre-Trip Inspection, Team Champions and the Georgia Grand Champion. All First-Place winners may be eligible to represent Georgia at the ATA National Championships.
